What Brighton (England) Offers For A Night Out

If you’re looking for vibrant nightlife and evening entertainment in Brighton you won’t be disappointed. This city never stops and there are events lined up throughout the year. Brighton is famous for its club scene but if that isn’t your thing there is also lots to do, from live music to cabaret, theatre or cinema.

The Brighton Dome is part of the historic Pavilion and has a year round calendar of entertainment events including live music, theatre and comedy. There are also family events scheduled usually during the holiday season. The Dome consists of the Concert Hall, the Corn Exchange and the Pavilion Theatre so there’s plenty of choice. Depending on when you visit you could choose from classical and operatic events, rock music, dance or shows aimed at children.

Another good venue for comedy, concerts and theatre is the Theatre Royal. The theatre has a reputation for presenting West End productions sometimes before they have been staged in London. Lots of high profile stars appear at the Theatre Royal so you could catch a comedy show or a play featuring one of your favorite television stars. The theatre also has a great reputation for family shows and live music.

The Grade II listed Duke of York’s Picturehouse is a great venue to catch a film during your stay in Brighton. There are a mix of films scheduled throughout the year including foreign and independent films, cult classics and old favorites. The venue is also licensed which means you can sit down with a drink from the bar while you watch your film! The atmosphere is cosy and the seating comfy so this makes for another cool place to spend an evening.

If you fancy catching a spot of comedy, cabaret, jazz or world music then look no further than Komedia, an entertainment venue in the city’s North Laine area. Not just an entertainment venue Komedia also offers food and drink at most of its seated shows. The schedule is literally jam-packed with events and you should not have any difficulty finding something to enjoy here.

Brighton would not be Brighton without its famous music and clubbing scene and of course it is definitely worth a mention. The club scene here is internationally renowned, attracting crowds of people every year and if this is your thing then you are in for a fun night or two. Well known DJs can be found here and whatever your taste in music you should have no problem finding somewhere to party the night away.
