Some Pointers to Make Your Website More Interesting
It is observed by some that the web design of the early years was kind of boring and monotonous, reasonably so because anything new is always subject to improvement. But today, as further developments are constantly out, there are now web design trends that will make our websites better than they were originally designed.
We observe more use and a little over the top of white space that search engine platforms find something undetectable, but people are watching where this trend will be going.
Minimalism is in and people are taking this design as not only for Amish people and barefoot runners but also among major websites too. But be aware that you cannot just easily project a minimalist image because this image needs practice before application. Meaning, you still have to follow the principles of basic design like its major aspect of rule of threes like dividing the page up into thirds and content are placed on these axes. Serving well for a minimalist website is the triangular placement, wherein you will offset different objects in a triangular trajectories giving a pleasant outcome.
Another application to site design may not be new but its content of compartmentalizing is becoming a trend. This flat approach is observed to be adding excitement and it is done by bringing the content to the edges of the page, making images meet, thereby a seamless image is projected and making the site design compelling.
The next trend is coloring of both sides of the line, a contradictory to our past lessons, and this is combined with overlapping images and text lines producing a knock out design.
Web designers nowadays are not only sticking to the white space but are also incorporating grids and other patterns and still maintaining the flow.
Another fun web design trend is going vertical when the content design is re-arranged and re-shaped. The concept is to balance the vertical text to that of the horizontal text in order to create a sort of movement, and if done correctly, a viewer’s eyes will be led down the page to the highlighted content.
The so-called two-tone approach or trend is being applied today by web designers in their technique where a pastel color is chosen to be paired with a solid color. There are some sites now that use this technique on every page and element of the site that could be sometimes over the top, but it is the trend so why not.
Another trend today would be loved by illustrators and designers, and this is the use of illustrations which are meant to balance out the minimalist image of the site.
